Our next assistance day on Tuesday, May 22nd is fast approaching and we have received a high volume of calls for assistance. After the large in April, our funds are low. Please consider making a donation to this vital outreach program to our community. We can’t make a difference without your generous hearts! Designate “ministry fund” on the memo line.
Ministry Fund Assistance Report—On Tuesday, April 24th, we helped 51 people with over $1500 in funds to go towards rent, utilities and gas. We also reached out with 38 bags of groceries from our food pantry. Thanks to all of you, we went from one canister of oatmeal and some dried beans to groceries for nearly 40 people.
Our pantry is again completely bare. Please consider a donation of food and funds to this vital ministry of our church. Your gracious generosity makes a tangible difference to our neighbors in need.
Food Pantry Offering —We will hand out grocery bags and lists every month on the LAST Sunday for you to fill for our food pantry. Bring those bags of food back on the FIRST Sunday and during communion, you’ll have the opportunity to place your food in containers at the altar as an offering. If you prefer to give money, that may be placed on the altar as you take communion. Of course, you are welcome to give at any time. Please earmark checks “Ministry Assistance.”

Hi Mr. Williams,
I believe we spoke on the phone this week and determined that Asheville was too far for the amount of money we could help with. However, I wanted to tell you to call the United Way 2-1-1. (Just dial 2-1-1). This provides a listing of resources all over North Carolina and they are sure to know what is available right there in your area. I hope this reaches you. God bless.
