UMW NEWS

The Asheville District Annual Meeting of United Methodist Women will be held from 9:00-11:30 am on Saturday, August 23rd, at Mills River UMC.  Amy Johnson, WNC UMW President, will be the guest speaker.  A love offering in honor of our own Bess Redmond,retiring District UMW President, will be taken for mission giving. 

 HANDS—ON PROJECT:  Collection of bulk items needed for UMCOR.  Please bring some of the following: 

~  New terry cloth hand towels (no kitchen towels)

~  New metal nail files or fingernail clippers (no emery boards or toenail clippers)

~  Ruled paper (pad, spiral or loose leaf)

BILTMART FOOD PANTRY

We have helped many people in the past couple of months, and now BiltMart is getting low on supplies.  Any contributions would be greatly appreciated, especially stew, soups and peanut butter! If possible, please bring pop-top cans.  The food of the month for August is pasta and spaghetti sauce.  Our pantry stocks canned goods for the needy in our community.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.
